Eligibility
- There is no minimum educational qualification required.
- Candidates can appear via three modes:
- Sponsored by NIELIT-approved institutes (irrespective of educational qualification).
- Sponsored by government-recognised schools/colleges which have obtained a unique identity number from NIELIT (irrespective of educational qualification).
- Direct applicants (without undergoing the accredited course or without sponsorship) also eligible.
- There is no minimum or maximum age limit specified.
- Duration of the course: historically around 80 hours (Theory 25 hrs + Practical 50 hrs + Tutorial 5 hrs) under older version.
- In latest revision (Revision 4, effective from 1 Oct 2023) around 30 hrs theory + 60 hrs practical (total ~90 hours) as per some sources.
2. Learning Outcomes / What you’ll be able to do after the course
After completing the CCC course, a candidate should be able to:
- Use a computer for basic purposes: writing personal/business letters, view information on the internet (WWW), send/receive emails, prepare business presentations, maintain small databases, etc.
- Be confident in using computers in both general life and office tasks.
- Understand file management, basic computer hardware/software, word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Use internet and web browsers, collaborate/communicate digitally, use e-Governance applications, digital financial services.
- Be aware of basic cyber-security and future digital/IT trends (depending on the syllabus version).
